The Safe Zone Merge Pets machine uses three matching animals. Read the input and KG preview before confirming, especially if those animals currently earn Cash.

In Break and Steal an Egg, your base Pen starts with a strict limit of 8 animal slots. Once those 8 slots are full, every new animal you carry home sits uselessly in your satchel. The Animal Merging Machine in the Safe Zone is your primary tool to break through this capacity wall.

Find the right machine

The Animal Merging Machine is located directly in the center of the Safe Zone hub, accessible to all players right from spawn (0 Speed required).

  • Look for the circular metal platform marked with glowing egg holographic rings.
  • Do not travel out to Planet X if you simply want to combine duplicate starter pets!
  • The Safe Zone machine is 100% free to interact with—no Cash or Robux fee is required to merge.

Select and preview

Step onto the machine pad and press E to open the merging interface:

Select 3 Duplicate Pets ──► Check Projected KG Preview ──► Confirm ──► Collect Fused Egg ──► Incubate at Base

1. Verification of Inputs

The interface requires three animals of the exact same species and rarity (e.g. 3x Common Chickens or 3x Divine Polar Bears). You cannot mix a Cat with a Dog in this machine.

2. The Weight Doubling Formula

When you place three matching pets into the slots, the interface generates a Projected KG Preview. Community observation confirms the empirical formula: $$\text{Fused Egg Weight} \approx (\text{Weight}_1 + \text{Weight}_2 + \text{Weight}_3) \times 2$$

Because animal Cash per second scales aggressively with kilogram weight ("Weight Over Rarity"), this 2x multiplier ensures your new merged pet produces significantly higher income than any of the three individual components.

Keep or merge?

Deciding when to merge is a critical economic decision:

Base Pen Status Recommended Action Financial Justification
Empty Slots Available (< 8 pets) KEEP ALL THREE Three separate animals working at once provide higher cumulative cash flow than a single merged pet while slots are open.
Pen Completely Full (8/8 slots) MERGE DUPLICATES Merging 3 pets into 1 frees up 2 net pen slots, allowing you to bring in higher-tier animals from newly unlocked biomes.
Sacrificing Only Active Earners PAUSE & CHECK Do not merge if the three candidates represent 90%+ of your current cash flow and you have no backup earners.
