Know your way back
Before you swing your pickaxe at a single egg, identify your personal base pen and establish a clear line-of-sight retreat path. The most frequent beginner mistake is running blindly into Forest or Desert, cracking an egg, grabbing an animal, and realizing you have no idea where your base is while a furious guardian bears down on you.
Pre-Run Orientation Checklist
- Confirm your base stall: Look for your username and base pen numbers on the boundary pad.
- Identify land obstacles: Note boulders, trees, and corner turns that can block guardians during retreat.
- Start with Rock Eggs: In the Forest Zone, target low-HP Rock Eggs first to test your escape speed before attempting higher-tier nests.
Crucial Tip on Aggro Triggering Biome guardians ignore you while you strike eggs. Only pressing E to collect the hatched animal into your Satchel triggers the pursuit state! You can safely crack several eggs first, compare the hatched animals' stats, and grab only the most valuable target.
Break and carry
Equip your starter Wooden Pickaxe (1 Power) by selecting it from your hotbar. Walk up to a target egg and click left-mouse or activate Auto Swing in the UI to chip away the egg shell.

Carry Weight Drag Mechanics
The moment an animal enters your Satchel, your movement speed is penalized based on its kilogram weight (Weight kg). Heavy animals will drastically reduce your sprint velocity:
- Lightweight starter animals (e.g. Chicken 10–25 kg): Minimal speed drag, easy escape.
- Heavy / Titanic animals (1,000+ kg): Severe speed reduction. You must use tight corners to escape.
Handling Interruption & Drops
If an NPC guardian smacks you or another player strikes you with a Bat, your character drops the animal onto the ground:
- Clear immediate danger: If the guardian is mid-swing, back away immediately.
- Check player proximity: If other players are rushing to steal your drop, assess if you can safely grab it back.
- Reset when cornered: If trapped against terrain, let the respawn reset you to base rather than dying repeatedly in the open. In public servers with hostile bat-swingers, consider playing in a free 0 Robux Private Server to completely eliminate player interference.
Place and check income (Pen vs Satchel)
Carrying an animal safely across the white safe-zone threshold is only half the mission. Animals kept in your backpack do not produce income. You must walk up to your base Pen and interact to place the pet on an open stand.
| What You See on Stand | Operational Meaning | Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| +$X / sec ticking | Animal is successfully placed and producing passive Cash | Leave it running; income accumulates even offline |
| No Cash movement | Stand is unassigned or pen slot is empty | Open Pen UI and confirm assignment |
| "Pen Capacity Full" | All 8 initial pen slots are occupied | Merge 3 duplicate pets or sell low-tier animals |
Managing the 8-Slot Pen Bottleneck
Your base starts with 8 pen slots. When all slots are full, any new animal you carry home cannot be placed. To scale beyond this bottleneck:
- Take 3 identical duplicate pets to the Safe Zone Animal Merging Machine to combine them into one higher-weight pet, freeing up 2 pen slots.
- Upgrade your Pen capacity with accumulated Cash.
- Check our Animals & Index database to see baseline yields for every species.
Improve the bottleneck (Trails & Training)
Progress stalls if your income cannot keep pace with zone speed gates. After your initial runs, evaluate where your setup bottlenecks:
| Bottleneck | Key Problem | Recommended Tactical Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bottleneck A: Cracking Slow | Spending >15s chipping an egg makes you an easy ambush target | Upgrade to Stone Pickaxe (4x Power, $80) to break shells instantly |
| Bottleneck B: Guards Catch You | Carrying weight drops your sprint velocity below guard speed | Equip White Trail (2x) or Blue Trail (4x) and train Speed on treadmill |
| Bottleneck C: Weak Cash Flow | Forest Common animals generate low baseline $/s | Claim free legendary Sabertooth ($1,300/s) and +10,000 free Speed |
Essential Starter Speed Upgrades
- Equip Purchased Trails: In the Trails Shop, buying a trail does not automatically equip it! Open your backpack inventory and click Equip on your White Trail (2x) or Blue Trail (4x).
- Claim Free Boosts: Join the developer group
ILGames x Eggsto claim the free legendary Sabertooth Egg ($1,300/s) and grab the +10,000 Speed bonus next to the Trails shop.
Recovering from a dropped haul
A dropped haul is not the end of your run. Keep these survival protocols in mind:
| Failure Scenario | Immediate Cause | Tactical Recovery Steps |
|---|---|---|
| Guardian Slam | Ran in straight line; weight reduced speed below guard sprint | Respawn at base; select a closer egg cluster or upgrade speed. |
| Player Bat Hit | Another player smacked you in contested corridor | Switch to a free 0 Robux Private Server to eliminate griefers. |
| Lost at Night / Biome Edge | Lost visual orientation of safe zone hub | Look up for beacon lights or spawn pillars before grabbing. |
